We ended our June weddings with Charlene & Kevin at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow, and could not have asked for a more beautiful couple, place, or day to celebrate!

Steve and the boys hung at the Outer Harbor for some photos while I started with the ladies at Salon Elizabeth. The salon is gorgeously designed, and provided the perfect backdrop for detail shots, and the prep & pamper images. I’m especially a sucker for Lizzy’s mirror wall (which you’ll see in many of the images below!) The weather called for endless rain and we anxiously watched the skies while the girls got ready. Just as we were pulling into O’Brien’s for their ceremony, the skies cleared and the sun came out!

K&C had a sweet ceremony right next to the creek, featuring special readings, songs, and a lot of happy tears. There were so many elements of this day that I loved, like Kevin promising to always trim his nose hairs in his wedding vows and Charlene’s huge burst of laughter at that, but his poem from *elementary school* titled “If I Had a Gal”, with a stick figure bride & groom, framed and displayed as guests entered the ceremony, had to be a favorite. “If I had a gal so sweet, I would give her a treat. And that treat would be to marry me!” The. Best.

Afterwards, we captured wedding party photos right on-site (I was LOVING the dreamy summer light), while the guests mingled on the lawn before heading in for dinner, dancing and a Fairy Cakes dessert bar!

K&C shared their first dance to Pete Townshend’s “Let My Love Open The Door”, and it was adorable, fun, and oh-so-fitting to the whole entire day. And of course, we couldn’t leave without portraits by the twinkling tree, covered in lights!

We would love to capture this wedding again & again. Thank you, K&C, for being so wonderful to work with, and keeping things FUN!

When my phone lit up with a new email titled “We neeeeed to have you!!”, I knew I was about to meet some fabulous new friends! I felt like I connected with Lindsay right away, and was SO excited when she & Turell *officially* asked me to be their wedding photographer 🙂 When I asked them if they had any special spots in mind for their e-session, they said “No, we just love the city!” Music to my ears. We wandered downtown together, snapping shots all over, laughing pretty much the whole way. I can only imagine how joyful the wedding day will be. Thanks for rocking your session, L&T! See you in October!

So thrilled to be sharing another lovely wedding on the blog today! Meet Becky & Dave; aren’t they cute?! They were planning their wedding from NC, and found me online. We chatted on the phone for their initial consultation; I didn’t meet Becky until a month before the wedding, and didn’t meet Dave until the day-of. But, they are such warm and wonderful people, after just a few minutes, I felt like I had known them for so much longer 🙂

I started with the ladies at The Hotel Lafayette, while Steve hung with the boys around Hotel Henry (we couldn’t have asked for more picturesque getting-ready spots!) Becky & Dave opted for a smaller, simpler wedding, and had a beautiful (hot & sunny!) ceremony at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. Becky has a HUGE, talented family, and many performed musical pieces during the ceremony; it was so sweet to see how they incorporated these special songs into their wedding day. Afterwards, we headed to City Hall for portraits, followed by a fuel-up at Lloyd’s Taco Factory, where the manager treated them to some bubbly & we did a toast to tacos! Then, we made a stop at Delaware Park for a row on Hoyt Lake, then off to D’Youville where B&D met. So many sweet stops before their reception at Chef’s Restaurant!

Thank you, Becky & Dave, for being so fabulous!! We LOVED spending our day with you, your friends & family. Let’s do it all over again!? 🙂

After their ceremony ended, B&D snuck off to take a minute alone, and Steve sneakily captured the following shots of the newlyweds celebrating! These are some of my favorite images of the whole day.

After the wedding, I asked B&D to tell me some of their favorite parts of the day. Dave’s answers had me cracking up :
“Favorite part was going to Lloyd’s; I was most excited to see my bride in her beautiful dress, and the most memorable part was going to Lloyd’s.”

Becky warned me that Dave doesn’t usually like photos… I would have never guessed!

I like to ask my couples if they have any advice for future brides/grooms; Becky’s response :
“Be purposeful about savoring each moment because the day really does fly by in a blur.”

We had the most beautiful time with Jill & Chris on their wedding day! We started at The Hotel @ The Lafayette for the girl’s prep, before Chris & Jill’s First Look. As excited I was for them to see each other, I have to admit, I was really excited to see their son Chase’s reaction too! His face lit up with such joy as he ran towards his mama! Steve captured the perfect shot of this, and it was one of my favorite moments of the day. After the bridal party photos in some of our favorite nooks of the Theater District (because who doesn’t love a stop at Shea’s and the amazing Jessie & Katey mural?!), we headed back to the Lafayette for their ceremony & reception. Those chose such a stunning spot for their ceremony, right inside one of the Pearl @ Lafayette courtyards. The sunlight streaming through and endless string lights made for a beautiful backdrop to their laughter-filled vows. They were simply giddy, half of the crowd was tearing up, and Chase took a nap right in the middle of it all! Afterwards, we headed right upstairs, and they kicked off a huge party, and wild night of dancing. We had a blast, and loved being a part of their day!

Meet Molly & Bill! They are the sweetest, most fun-loving pair and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know them at past weddings I’ve shot (shout out to Mark & Kristen, Carly & Dave!) Once we had a chance to sit down, and have a consultation for their own BIG day, I knew that I had to be their photographer! Their epic sunrise-on-a-rooftop & beers-on-a-beach e-session really set the bar high for the wedding photographs, yet, they somehow managed to top it! They took us to Buffalo’s most gorgeous venues for their photos, including The WestinEllicott Square Building, The Admiral Room, Hotel Henry, and Statler City! Throw in a fabulous bridal party, a perfectly sunny day, and a stop at a Westside firehouse, where they popped champagne 100′ feet in the air, and Steve & I were very happy photographers. Scroll down to relive their beautiful ceremony (including the sweetest first look between Molly & her father), glamorous portraits, and wild reception (with jaw-dropping decor by Buffalo Floral Art)!

Thank you, Molly & Bill, for inviting us to be a part of your day! We LOVED being there to celebrate with you! XOXO
