Almost a month ago today, we celebrated with Alyssa & Jon! It was a dark, cloudy and very wet day, but that didn’t stop any of the fun 🙂 We started with getting ready photos, and a gorgeous first look outside Alyssa’s parent’s home. These two were up for anything, so we hiked back into the woods and did a quick session underneath the arbor and teepee that her parents built. A&J have to be one of the most relaxed couples we have had the joy of hanging with; I mean we left those woods soaking wet, covered in mosquito bites, and Steve literally pulled a worm or two out of the lace of Alyssa’s dress, and no one cared one bit. Just like, “Whatever, we’re getting married!!” (so, yes, my dream clients!)
We moved the party over to the Botanical Gardens and spent most of the rainy afternoon there before heading over to Kloc’s for their ceremony & reception. It rained, it poured & it didn’t matter at all. They had such a lovely ceremony, followed by a wonderful reception full of sweet moments & wild dancing. From the perfume Alyssa had been saving for years to wear again (she had it on when they first met), to their teary-eyed vows and the way they sang to each other throughout their first dance, their day was so personal & lovely, from start to finish, and we were so happy to be a part of it!
