We jumped into a gorgeous double-header wedding weekend with Angela & Mike! We could not have picked a better pair to kick things off with; these two are just bursting with happy, fun-loving energy! They designed a truly picturesque Buffalo wedding, complete with a ceremony inside a stunning cathedral, stops at iconic WNY locations, and a bunch of Billievers dancing the night away to Shout inside a historic, downtown bank. Basically, a photographer’s dream!
Angela & the girls prepped at The Marriott Harborcenter, getting glam with the team from Salon Elizabeth. Angela was full of excitement, jumping on the bed with her flower girl, twirling around in her dress… She was just SO excited to see her groom. It made my heart happy to see a bride so ready to be married!
Their ceremony took place at one of our oldest and most lovely churches, St. Joseph Cathedral. This is one of the prettiest places in our city (I’ve been hundreds of times, and still see something new at each visit). Afterwards, the newlyweds & their BIG, fun bridal party headed to Delaware Park, and paddled around in boats on Hoyt Lake! There was potential for disaster, but luckily, everyone aced it 😉 We hopped over to City Hall on our way downtown, and grabbed some fun group shots (play I-spy, and find the dancing police officer…)
When it was time to party, we headed to their reception, inside the newly opened Admiral Room at The Marin. I love shooting in new spaces, and have been so excited to explore this venue. The building has 40′ ceilings AND A VAULT. I mean, come on! The beautiful space was made complete with touches by Buffalo Floral Art, Village Bake Shop, Fairy Cakes Cupcakery & B in a Bonnet. It was a gorgeous setting for Angela & Mike to dance all night, before being sent off with sparklers on Main Street.
A&M, thank you both for your contagious joy, excitement & love! It could not have been a more perfect day, and we simply loved being a part of it!
