Last month, we celebrated with this gorgeous pair! We had the most wonderful day with Ashley & Joe, in spite of the below-freezing temps! Don’t let the autumnal sunlight in their photos fool you; it was absolutely bitter outside. But, they were total troopers, and kept each other smiling throughout their day.
For their wedding, A&J took over The Foundry Suites. This is one of my favorite locations, because the rooms are so spacious and full of lovely light, especially the hotel suites for getting-ready. Ashley chose such beautiful details for her day, and I could not wait to photograph her in her handmade lace top by Made by Anatomy! Before a First Look with Joe, Ash had some sweet moments with Mom, and then took a First Look with Dad. They had the entire room welling up!
Steve was capturing Joe & the guys downstairs, as he anxiously awaited his turn to see his bride. After Ashley & Joe saw each other in the courtyard, we headed to the Albright Knox for as long as we could take the cold, and then off Hotel Henry to warm up. We found the most magical pocket of light inside the hallway there, and went totally overboard with photos 😉 You’ll see!
We went back to The Foundry for their ceremony, which was so magically decorated by Buffalo Floral Art. They created a custom hanging system for lush leaves, stunning florals and floating candles for the ceremony aisle, and for the headtable in the reception room. It was downright enchanting. A&J’s ceremony was full of laughs and sweet moments. They presented a white rose to each other, and then turned to give those roses to their mothers as a thank you for raising them. It was so touching.
Afterwards, it was time to party! Nik Lite was there to keep the reception rocking, and the dance floor was hopping all night long. Joe & his mom really kicked things off, with an super fun Mother-Son boogie! Everything flowed so perfectly, thanks to the team at After 5 Events.
Steve & I had so much fun capturing this day, and loved seeing it all come together. A&J, you are total sweethearts and we are so thankful you chose us to document this part of your story!
