So thrilled to be sharing another lovely wedding on the blog today! Meet Becky & Dave; aren’t they cute?! They were planning their wedding from NC, and found me online. We chatted on the phone for their initial consultation; I didn’t meet Becky until a month before the wedding, and didn’t meet Dave until the day-of. But, they are such warm and wonderful people, after just a few minutes, I felt like I had known them for so much longer 🙂
I started with the ladies at The Hotel Lafayette, while Steve hung with the boys around Hotel Henry (we couldn’t have asked for more picturesque getting-ready spots!) Becky & Dave opted for a smaller, simpler wedding, and had a beautiful (hot & sunny!) ceremony at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. Becky has a HUGE, talented family, and many performed musical pieces during the ceremony; it was so sweet to see how they incorporated these special songs into their wedding day. Afterwards, we headed to City Hall for portraits, followed by a fuel-up at Lloyd’s Taco Factory, where the manager treated them to some bubbly & we did a toast to tacos! Then, we made a stop at Delaware Park for a row on Hoyt Lake, then off to D’Youville where B&D met. So many sweet stops before their reception at Chef’s Restaurant!
Thank you, Becky & Dave, for being so fabulous!! We LOVED spending our day with you, your friends & family. Let’s do it all over again!? 🙂
After their ceremony ended, B&D snuck off to take a minute alone, and Steve sneakily captured the following shots of the newlyweds celebrating! These are some of my favorite images of the whole day.
After the wedding, I asked B&D to tell me some of their favorite parts of the day. Dave’s answers had me cracking up :
“Favorite part was going to Lloyd’s; I was most excited to see my bride in her beautiful dress, and the most memorable part was going to Lloyd’s.”
Becky warned me that Dave doesn’t usually like photos… I would have never guessed!
I like to ask my couples if they have any advice for future brides/grooms; Becky’s response :
“Be purposeful about savoring each moment because the day really does fly by in a blur.”
SO. MUCH. YES!
