We ended our June weddings with Charlene & Kevin at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow, and could not have asked for a more beautiful couple, place, or day to celebrate!
Steve and the boys hung at the Outer Harbor for some photos while I started with the ladies at Salon Elizabeth. The salon is gorgeously designed, and provided the perfect backdrop for detail shots, and the prep & pamper images. I’m especially a sucker for Lizzy’s mirror wall (which you’ll see in many of the images below!) The weather called for endless rain and we anxiously watched the skies while the girls got ready. Just as we were pulling into O’Brien’s for their ceremony, the skies cleared and the sun came out!
K&C had a sweet ceremony right next to the creek, featuring special readings, songs, and a lot of happy tears. There were so many elements of this day that I loved, like Kevin promising to always trim his nose hairs in his wedding vows and Charlene’s huge burst of laughter at that, but his poem from *elementary school* titled “If I Had a Gal”, with a stick figure bride & groom, framed and displayed as guests entered the ceremony, had to be a favorite. “If I had a gal so sweet, I would give her a treat. And that treat would be to marry me!” The. Best.
Afterwards, we captured wedding party photos right on-site (I was LOVING the dreamy summer light), while the guests mingled on the lawn before heading in for dinner, dancing and a Fairy Cakes dessert bar!
K&C shared their first dance to Pete Townshend’s “Let My Love Open The Door”, and it was adorable, fun, and oh-so-fitting to the whole entire day. And of course, we couldn’t leave without portraits by the twinkling tree, covered in lights!
We would love to capture this wedding again & again. Thank you, K&C, for being so wonderful to work with, and keeping things FUN!
