Meet Delaney & Brit (& later on in the blog post, their BIG baby Friedrich)! I have been living for this wedding because I KNEW they would rock their details to no end. They are incredibly creative florists who own Buds and Blooms, and they partnered with Bethany from B in a Bonnet to deliver their overall vision. She handled all of the signage, decor, bouquets, and so much more. The entire celebration came together flawlessly, and it was so beautiful to see the wedding that D&B had been dreaming about finally and completely come to life!
We started our day inside a stunning Elmwood Village mansion which the girls had reserved on Airbnb, so their entire group could stay, prep, and celebrate together. D&B got ready separately, and did an adorable first look on the stairs, before we headed out to the newest mural in Buffalo, Louise Jones’ Wildflowers for Buffalo. Did you expect anything less from two flower-loving folks?!
They planned their ceremony and reception inside the historic estate at Knox Farm State Park, which provided beautiful backdrops and ample rooms to play on a very rainy day. The entire place was perfectly decorated, providing a cozy setting for their vows, and fab dance floor party. Before he passed, Brit’s dad left this special bottle of vodka with his secretary to be passed down when Brit was old enough. She had been saving it for years, waiting for the right time to open it and share. She poured shots and did a toast to her father right before we left the house; it was one of the many sweet moments of the day.
Meet Friedrich!! And YES, he’s tall enough to walk over to sinks and take sips whenever he wants! I miss him already.
