I loved my time with Brian & Lauren during their e-session last week! We started late in the evening to make the most of my favorite time of day… Magic hour! We explored silos along the Buffalo River, and then headed over to Gallagher Beach for romantic sunset shots. They braved big waves, broken bottles, rocks, and plenty of dead fish to get these beautiful shots 😉 We laughed our way through the whole session, and I had a great time adventuring with them! B&L, thanks for being such easy-going sweethearts; I cannot wait to see what we create together on the BIG day!

I’m thrilled to be sharing the first wedding of our summer season! We had so much fun celebrating Keely & Josh earlier this month, and loved kicking things off with them. We started our day with Keely & her girls prepping inside the beautiful Roycroft Inn before heading over to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for their sweet ceremony. As with every good wedding, the day was full of loud laughter and happy tears!

Afterwards, we journeyed down to Ellicottville! We had to pop by Ellicottville Brewing Company for some pints and portraits, before making our way to Holiday Valley for their party. K&J chose the Yodeler Lodge for their reception, which sits right next to the ski lift. They had this open for their guests to use during cocktail hour, and we hopped on to photograph the bridal party! This group was so much to work with, and they were up for anything, whether it was climbing on a bar, running across a street, or battling a mountain of little bugs on the hilltop; they did it all with big smiles on their faces. We would like to formally request that all future bridal parties be this much fun 😉

Everyone then enjoyed a delicious dinner, a cigar bar, fire pits, and boogieing the night away on the dance floor. It was a magical day and we absolutely adored being the ones to capture it all! Huge thanks to K&J for being so sweet, adventurous & fun-loving! We will let the photos tell the full story below; scroll down to enjoy!

Do you remember Brendan & Caitlin’s adorable winter e-sesh last year? Well, it was finally time to celebrate their big day, and we loved kicking off our first wedding of 2018 with them! Those chose a St Patrick’s day wedding, and you better believe I was wearing my green! When I first received an email from them, I felt an instant connection, because my husband & I were wed on the same day (we’re not a bit Irish, but rather met at the parade and have loved the holiday and March weddings ever since). After meeting B&C in person, I was even more excited to be considered as their wedding photographer. They are such warm and wonderful people, who get extra bonus points for having the cutest pup, Clover ❤

I knew their day would be elegant, exciting, and FUN, and they certainly lived up to the hype. The girls prepped at The Hotel at The Lafayette with Lox Salon and Makeup Buffalo as their glam squad, while the boys relaxed at home (this is the way things usually go). We meet at Christ the King Chapel at Canisius College for their sweet ceremony. If you have not had the pleasure of attending a wedding led by this priest, you’re missing out! Everyone was smiling, laughing, and sharing in their love the entire time.

Afterwards, we headed to Ellicott Square Building and City Hall for portraits, before their beautiful reception in the Marquis & Crystal Ballrooms of the Lafayette. They had everything perfectly prepped for a St Patrick’s wedding, including a Guinness toast, clovers in the centerpieces, green uplighting, and plenty of wild dancing to be had with Breakaway Band and Soundwave leading the reception.

Scroll down to see B&C’s delightful wedding… the first of many great days for our 2018 season! We loved our time with these two, and hope you love reliving it!

Last month, I had some family things pop up in Wisconsin, and my brother & I decided to make the long haul out there. We passed through Detroit, Chicago & spent a few days in Madison before heading back. I posted an Instagram story announcing my travel schedule, and in popped a message from Kelly & Ethan! They are newly engaged, living in Chicago, planning a Buffalo wedding this fall. They booked an engagement session on our last morning in Chicago, at their favorite spot in Lincoln Park. They are early risers, and love the light at dawn, so we met at 6AM for their shoot! They brought their sweet pup, Phoenix, and we explored the park and waterfront. They took me to the most gorgeous spots, with earthy backgrounds and views of the city skyline, giving us a beautiful mix for their session. The sunrise never made an appearance, but we were still gifted with soft, lovely morning light. K&E are such sweethearts, and I love that this little roadtrip/family mission of mine brought in such a cool couple, fun shoot, and my final wedding of 2018! How great is that!? Thank you, Instagram 🙂
